Dr. Engels will be on vacation from 8/28/26-9/7/26. Our office will still be open 8/31-9/3. We are closed on Fridays and we will be closed on Labor Day. Portal messages will be checked daily and responded to during regular business hours.
Our Open Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 9AM - 5PM (Closed 12PM-1PM for lunch). Note we are closed on Friday. Portal messages are not monitored outside of business hours, we will respond within 2 business days. My Medications tab is the fastest way to request a prescription refill, submit earlier in the week to avoid weekend delays.
ALL FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS: 3 forms (The Medical Symptom Questionnaire, the Women's/Men's Health Questionnaire, and the Appointment Update Questionnaire) all need to be filled out and SUBMITTED at LEAST 48 hours PRIOR to your scheduled appointment with Dr. Engels. If these forms are not submitted on time, your appointment will be rescheduled and you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Please call the office at 972-668-2636 or send us a portal message if you are having trouble with your forms.
VIRTUAL VISITS: Each time you have a telemedicine visit with Dr. Engels, you will need to fill out and SUBMIT the Telemedicine consent form prior to the visit.
Patient Portal Messaging Policy
Portal messaging is intended for brief questions, updates, prescription refills, and clarification of an existing treatment plan. It is not intended to replace a medical appointment or provide unlimited medical consultation between visits. New symptoms, multiple or complex concerns, extensive lab review, treatment changes, or questions requiring significant medical decision-making may require an appointment. Repeated, lengthy, or excessive portal messages may be redirected to a scheduled appointment. We may also ask patients to consolidate multiple questions into a single message. Please allow up to 2 business days for a response. The portal is not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or emergency concerns.
